This list of future tallest buildings in the world ranks the tallest buildings in the world which are currently under construction, plus, for comparison, current proposed structures and others that have been topped out or are complete. The 1,050 m (3,440 ft) Azerbaijan Tower in Baku, Azerbaijan, if built, will be the world’s tallest building; it will be 222 metres (728 ft) higher than the current tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates which is 828 metres (2,717 ft) tall.
