Interviewed by Alexis

It’s girls volleyball season!
When you play volleyball, your main objective is to keep the ball going between both sides and try to hit, spike, or serve the ball so the other team eventually won’t be able to hit it back. Volleyball is also a team sport, and Daniel wright carries itself throughout the season with cheers and teamwork. The Daniel wright girls volleyball teams are split into “A” and “B” teams, but both are stellar. We go against other schools like Aptacistic and Twin Groves. The coaches are Mrs. Cummings and Ms. Mcaffer.

What’s your Favorite volleyball drill?
I like doing the butterfly drill. In the butterfly drill, there’s four lines and two setters. Two lines have balls, and they hit to the line that doesn’t have balls, who hit to the setters. Then they all rotate.
What’s the most rewarding thing about the volleyball team?
We have fun, and we try hard to cooperate as a team and win.
What is essential for volleyball?
You should be able to collaborate with your teammates.
Describe your coach in one word.
One word would be helpful.
Describe your teammates in one word.
Funny.
What was the highlight of the season?
We beat twin groves, and they were a tough opponent.
How do you prepare for games?
We run, do drills, practice setting, serving, bumping, and hitting, then `we pump ourselves up with cheers, like “1, 2, 3, go Trojans !”
