Mrs. Frantom

By Autumn

This month’s teacher is Mrs. Frantom! She is the sixth grade math teacher and teaches the white team. Some of her hobbies include hiking in the woods, gardening in her backyard, and walking her dog, Bubba.

Before she decided to start her teaching career at Daniel Wright, she was an actuary. An actuary makes financial predictions for the future, and usually work with insurance companies. A lot of people from Mrs. Frantom’s family are teachers, and she volunteered for a junior high math organization. She loved it so much and she wanted to take up the challenge and make a difference in her community, so she took up the job of being a teacher. Mrs. Frantom has loved her career ever since she took it up, and has been teaching at Daniel Wright for 15 years. As well as teaching math in class, she also coaches the 6th grade math team. Twice per month, the team has an AMC 8 contest, and D.W is one of the best teams out there. The newspaper committee has chosen Mrs. Frantom for being teacher of the month because we all think that she is an awesome at teaching and that she is a very successful person, we hope you think the same as well!
